Delete button?

Post by gmedina »

I think that a "delete post" button could be useful (of course, this feature will only apply to your very own last reply...). So far, you can quote and/or edit your own replies to a given post; however, sometimes you might want to delete your own replies and this feature is not yet available.

This is something not supported by the community software phpBB. But do not hesitate to contact one of the moderators or me with the wish to remove the relevant post.

Hmmm... Makes me wonder. I am a total inexpert on those phpBB issues, but the "delete last post" feature seems to have been implemented in analogous sites. Just a simple example:
www.cqf.info/
But, as I said,... those phpBB things will remain a mystery to me.

Admin or ones have access to the control panel can make the deletion button enabled.

I forgot the detailed, but the rough procedures are to give DELETION to registered users on the specified topics.

When editing a post, you have the option to delete it right above the "Post icon" line of input field.

Really? I made some tests with my previous response in this thread and I couldn't find that option anywhere.

Hm, seems that this is also an option only for moderators.
