General ⇒ how to add new fonts to Texniccenter ?

Hello everybody,

does anyone know how to add new fonts to the editor (i'm not talking about fonts in the compiled document) ? I run TC on Windows XP.

I find this "courier new" quite difficult to read, as I'm using this editor for long and tiring hours. I don't find where is the list of the fonts initially proposed by TC, which is different from the one proposed in the small text editor of windows XP for instance.

Go to:

1) Tools -> Options -> Text Format
2) In the drop-down box select Editor (it is selected by default)
3) Choose an appropriate font from the list

You can do the same for the Navigator and Output (warnings, errors, etc.)

Thank you for your answer. I had a doubt about being clear enough, because it seems that my question is quite unusal. I know how to choose another font in this list, but I'd like to add new fonts to this list, that is to say fonts that are not already present in this list. This is because no one is smooth enough for my sensitive eyes

This list contains system-wide fonts, i.e. fonts which are installed on the system. Hence, if you want to use some other font you have to install it in a usual way:

1) START -> Control Panel -> Fonts
2) File -> Install new font

However, you have to be aware that the current version of TXC is limited to monospace fonts, such as Courier New etc. So, Times New Roman, Arial etc. are not possible to use.
