Hi,

I am using the MastesDoctoral Thesis template and am new to LateX.
I have to add a fixed text in the footer of all pages.

I am finding it quite hard to do. The fancyhdr package isn't working and I am lost inside the .cls file.

That template uses the scrlayer-scrpage package. You can use commands from there; perhaps try this, for example:

\cfoot{text}
