Add New Impact Statement page after Abstract

Post by veronicacucuiat »

Hi,
How would I go about adding a new page to the initial set of pages at the beginning of the thesis, just after the Abstract? My university requires me to write an impact statement page, in addition to all the other pages that are already included in the template. Thank you!

Add New Impact Statement page after Abstract

Hi,

It's the Masters / Doctoral Thesis template, available here: http://www.latextemplates.com/template/ ... ral-thesis

In the meantime, I should say I 'hacked' the template by simply separting the Abstract page from the Impact Statement page with a \newpage, I added it to the Contents using the '\addchaptertocentry{Impact Statement}' command, and I formatted it as closely as possible to the other starting pages using \vspace*{1cm} and section title size specification. But it's all done manually within the page, it doesn't autmatically draw on the formatting the template provides, and I wondered wether there was a way of doing that!

Thank you!

I would like to ask the similar question.
I want to add two abstracts written in different languages (e.g. English abstract and a translated to Chinese abstract). How to perform this task?

Thank you!
