Hi all,
I'm trying to install texlive (or any other LATEX distribution, for that matter) on a machine running Linux but whose architecture is ARM. The texlive installer does not recognize the architecture so I have to manually select it in order to get the binaries created. Once I try to use those binaries, and I have tried for all the architectures offered during the installation, they don't work...
Has any of you installed texlive (or any other latex distribution) on a machine with an ARM processor?
Thanks,
MIguel

Installing TeX Live in ARM architecture
Probably the TeX Live project page is a better place to ask these kinds of questions [1]. You will also find links to mailing lists and build instructions.

Re: Installing TeX Live in ARM architecture
Yes, I was already in that site. I will probably have to compile the source myself to get this running. I will see how difficult it turns out to be...

Re: Installing TeX Live in ARM architecture
I would mail the mailing list texlive@tug.org, referenced on the page mentioned, to ask for ideas. Building TL from the source is far from trivial!

Re: Installing TeX Live in ARM architecture
I'm giving it a try. So far it's just proving to be very slow to compile everything...
The source can be obtained here:
ftp://tug.org/texlive/historic/
I will post whether I manage to do it or not. If I can't make it then I'll email the TL guys.

Installing TeX Live in ARM architecture
I know, the question is very old. However, the page is still found by search for »tex-live arm«.
Meanwhile TeX Live does support ARM architecture on linux or OSX. For example, I've installed vanilla TeX Live on a Raspberry Pi3B+ some days ago. It works, but is quite slow (about 4 times slower than on my very old intel core i5 M450 notebook). Unfortunately TeX Live doesn't have a

So in 2022 using TeX Live with 32bit ARM linux is still not the same as with 64bit ARM linux or i386 or x86_64 linux. But it is not a real problem.
