I'm jinda new to LaTeX and I'm having some issues with the page layout. I have many figures and in some pages if the image doesn't fit it goes to the next page as it should, but instead of leaving a blank space in the previous page the text on it expands till it covers the whole page. I'd rather have a big space than seprated text. Here is how it looks:
II have looked how to solve this specific issue but haven't found a solution. I'm using a template and I don't understand all the packages that is using, I don't know where the prpblem is.

What template is it? Do you have a link to its website?
It seems that it stretches the page content to fill the page for equal height of the text area on pages. You could disable it by:

Global disabling is not always the best choice. → How to prevent the page content of a double-page document from being stretched vertically for explanation and information about alternatives.
