Presentations and Posters ⇒ Beamer, aspectratio and footline position

Hi,

I'm using an institutional template designed by someone else and there is page numbering that overlays a background image that has the institution name at the bottom. With the standard aspect ratio, the page numbers appear to the left of the institution name. With a widescreen aspect ratio (169 for example), the page numbers show up on top of the institution name. How can I move the page number location to the left?
