Document Classes ⇒ Book structure: Parts above Chapters?

New to working in a book context, and not sure of the right terms, so will try to illustrate, instead. What I would like to accomplish is to create this book structure:
Introduction
Part I
Chapter 1
Chapter 2
...
Chapter n
Part II
Chapter n+1

And so on. I suppose I could use \chapter for each "Part", and \section for each "Chapter, and so on, demoting the meanings by one level, but would prefer to avoid such a kludge, as it is sure to become confusing.

Why don't you just use \chapter for chapters and \part for parts?

Please read at least A short introduction to LaTeX 2e. But I would recommend to read a not so short introduction like LaTeX for Complete Novices. There are lots of good (and some not so good) books for LaTeX beginners. This would help you understanding the LaTeX basics (and even more) and could prevent you from a lot of not needed frustration.
