Hi all,
I have the following organization of my document:
\part{hhg}
\input{chaptergg}
\intput{chapterhh}
\part{chhh}
\...
\....
I want that the numbering of chapters continues over all the parts. Such that not for every new part the chapter numbering start from 1. can anyone help?

Continuous chapter numbering is the case by default. Example:
Code: Select all
\documentclass{book}
\begin{document}
\tableofcontents
\part{First Part}
\chapter{First Chapter}
\chapter{Second Chapter}
\part{Second Part}
\chapter{Third Chapter}
\chapter{Fourth Chapter}
\end{document}
