Avoid blank space after chapters
I've tested this code on both a fresh template and in my thesis. It seems to work entirely for the fresh template, but not in my thesis. I have compared both, and they are near identical, so I am very confused. ShareLatex does not let one download log-files, I can only post screenshots.

If Sharelatex cannot do this, it is terrible software. I bet you can download a log somehow.

Yes, hard to see what might be the difference and the point. If you like, you could provide a ShareLaTeX link so we could see the document code online. I guess it's a start, a frame document, still, without much actual content yet. And we can remove the link here later.

Or send a PM (private message) with the link... usually I avoid this since it's a public forum and it lives from discussion and support (so I don't start hidden private support) but if we find the causing code piece we can continue here...
