General ⇒ Slow spell checker in TeXnicCenter

Hello,

The spell checker in TeXnicCenter seems slow. I'd be willing to bet that the checking itself is quick but that there is some timer that dictates when to check again. If this interpretation is correct, this timer is currently set to some 3secs making spell checking slow to update.

Is there a way to make spell checking faster? Maybe increasing the frequency of the checking?

(Use Emacs, it doesn't spell check. Or I don't know it does...)

I don't know a way. Just a comment, TeXnicCenter development may be on hold, since I did not read about any change or news since years. Perhaps give Texmaker or TeXstudio a try. I use TeXworks but I don't need many features.

That's unfortunate. I've used Texmaker quite a lot and I find TexnicCenter more mature. It'd be sad if there were no more developments.
