Ok I have the solution, i am using \mbox{\ref{}}. It is working fine.

Ok I found my problem alone.
I was using both the environment \sloppypar and hyphenationpenalty = 10000.
Now it is working perfectly.

Hi,
I attached a file showing a part of my bibliography. The Editor requires the justification shown in my example; What I would like to avoid is exactly what is happening at the author Name : Michel Paul Henry. All this spacing is not required. How could I modify this ?

I agree but with cross reference you use \ref{tag} and I do not know how LaTeX manage the conversion. Where should I put ~ ? If the chapter number is part of the numbering how make sure that the number will be : 1.1 with chapter.figure number.

I do not want my cross references to be divisible when they arrive at the end of a line. For example :

I am using the class book. My book has a table of content in 3 Depth : Chapter, section and subsection.
My editor is asking me to get the subsection in italic in the table of content. How can I do this ?

My editor is asking me to put on the odd pages headings the name of my two first chapters. But those are non-numbered chapter they are the Introduction and the Preface.
