Re: Problems with eps-figures that contains text
I have found the forward and inverse search functions in Yap/TeXnicCenter to be very useful, therefore I would prefer to be able to use Yap. My Yap version is 2.5.2466.

Re: Problems with eps-figures that contains text
Hi Thorsten,
There is no problem when viewing the eps files with GSview. The figures (including the text) are displayed correctly, and there are no error messages.
Best regards

Problems with eps-figures that contains text
Hi,
I hope you can help me with the following problem: Yap does not respond if I try to view a dvi-file that contains an eps-figure with text in it.
To include the figure I use the following commands in the tex-file:
\begin{figure}
\begin{center}
\includegraphics[width=1\textwidth]{dummyfigur5 ...

Re: TeXnicCenter creates corrupt dvi-file?
Thanks for your suggestion, pumpkinegan.
To check your suggestion I just created a new eps file with Adobe Acrobat Professional. With this new file there were no problems :)
However, I do not understand why it worked. Before my initial posting here I tried two different (old) eps files, and both ...

Re: TeXnicCenter creates corrupt dvi-file?
I have now done some more testing to find the problem.
On the computer where the problem occurs (computer A) I have GSview version 4.8. It is unregistered, which means that a nag-window pops up every time I open GSview.
On a different computer (computer B) I have GSview version 2.1, and there is ...

Re: TeXnicCenter creates corrupt dvi-file?
Thanks for your answer, localghost. It seems you are right about the source code - the problem disappears when I remove the following piece of code:
\begin{figure}
\begin{center}
\includegraphics[width=1\textwidth]
{myFigure.eps}
\end{center}
\end{figure}
With this code included I get the ...

TeXnicCenter creates corrupt dvi-file?
Hi,
I have the following problem:
When I run Build Output with my LaTeX=>DVI profile I get no error messages, and a new dvi file is generated, so everything seems normal so far. However, when I try to open the dvi file only a blank page is shown by Yap. When I try to shut down Yap I get the ...

Re: Periodic update of navigator takes much time
Thank you for your reply, craigm - it was of much help :)
It seems like the navigator is only updated on autosave and not on a manual save, which explains why the autosave takes much more time than the manual save (I thought the autosave did exactly the same as a manual save. Since the manual save ...

Periodic update of navigator takes much time
Hi all,
I am currently working on a document of about 150 pages containing a lot of theorems, proofs etc., which means that the the navigator (and particularly the objects tab) contains a lot of information.
