I am trying to write a formal letter. I am unable to find a suitable solution for the following problems:

1. I want to declare subject in the preamble. When I compile the file, the subject should be inserted between the recipient's address and the opening.

2. I want the closing and signature to ...

In one of my slides, I am trying to make two adjacent blocks. I want the block sizes to be the same size, so that the titles are at the same level/height. I also want border around the blocks of the same colour as its title.

I'm trying to make a cool diagram. Please suggest how to make a ring such that c.north to c.north east is dark-blue, c.north east to c.east is light blue... and the colour pattern alternates.

I have an journal article to which changes have been made on the request of the reviewer. I have used the "Changes" package to make the changes and made a list of changes at the start of the document. Is possible to either:
1. Make the list of changes appear in a separate pdf file?
