Re: Old Documents not compilable after Update
I no longer have 2.9 installed and so can't provide a .log file. Anyway, 2.8 is working fine and so will postpone upgrading to 2.9 until I have to. Hopefully by then all issues will have been resolved.

Re: Old Documents not compilable after Update
I'm having problems with all my files and so don't see the point of posting specific code. There's obviously something wrong at a general level. Case in point: I uninstalled MikTeX 2.9 and installed MikTeX 2.8. All files are now compiling and rendering correctly.

Old Documents not compilable after Update
Hi All,
I recently updated to MikTeX 2.9. Now my files, which rendered OK with MikTeX 2.7, no longer do so. I'm having trouble with files using the packages PSTricks or TikZ. I edit with WinEdt by the way. Is there a simple fix for this? Thanks.

TikZ and pgfmath conflict
Hi All,
I was missing some TikZ libraries and so decided to update pgf through MikTeX's Package Browser. I did this by uninstalling pgf and then reinstalling it. When I tried to LateX a file that compiled OK before, I got an error message: The function `add' already exists. Does anyone know what I ...

Enumeration
I'm using
\begin{multicols}{2}
\begin{enumerate}
\item
\item
\end{enumerate}
\end{multicols}
to list problems in two columns. However, I'd like the numbering to incease going across the row, not down the column. Anyone know how to accomplish this? Thanks.

pst-solides3d
I'm drawing axes, lines, and planes (with object=plan) in 3D with pst-solides3d. What I would like is for axes and other objects that go behind a plane to appear dashed rather than solid. I've look through user guide for pst-solides3d but didn't see any info on how to do this. Anyone have any ideas ...

Re: Tikz Opacity Problem
You're right, it is there! Although the transparency is missing from the dvi file, it comes up in the PDF file after conversion. Thanks.

Tikz Opacity Problem
I'm trying to view some figures containing transparency features but I see that the opacity commands are being ignored. I read that opacity only works with newer versions of Ghostscript. Anyone know how new the version should be? I'm using Ghostscript 8.64.
