This violet x is called bullet, and there's an option in Kile under Edit->Bullets->Next Bullet/Last Bullet where you can jump to the next bullet. There you can also see which keyboard shortcuts are active for this. If you don't like the shortcuts you can of course also change them in the Configure ...
