SciWriter

I was surprised visiting the SciWriter homepage

http://www.soft4science.com/products/SciWriter/

It says that "This version is free of charge" :) . I hope it will remain this way.

Re: Import to LaTex - multipage printing documents ?

At the moment I am using my old home computer and MikTEX 2.0 (using it for years) and the pdfpages will not work with it (it needs newer pdftex version). As have to use it, I will use MikTEX 2.7 as soon as possible (installed at my office when back from vacation). Fortunately, there are many post ...

Import to LaTex - multipage printing documents ?

Re: Latex replacement for Equation Editor in MS Word

Thanks,

I agree. I tried AURORA some time ago (former "ribbit") and was quite satisfied.
Unfortunately, I could not find any FLOSS of this kind and quality.

Re: Latex replacement for Equation Editor in MS Word

Thank you Patrick,

I already mentioned that in the previous post. I tried to replace Equation Editor with Equation Magic (http://www.micropress-inc.com/eqmpro/index.html). This is just I was looking for. Unfortunatelly, Lite version (free) has the restriction concerning the equation size and this ...

Re: Scientific Word plus MikTeX

You might suggest your supervisor to replace SWP Latex compiler (TrueTex) with MikTex. Actually, this is a preferable way of using SWP. MikTex and Yap are doing better job than SWP (from my own experience). Your supervisor just have to install MikTex and to change Typeset settings inside SWP in ...

Re: Latex replacement for Equation Editor in MS Word

I tried ribbit (http://nameless.ca) and I like it. It could be one of my sollutions. Moreover, I think I found something in order to insert Latex-based equations into MS Word, especially for those who are tied to "Visual" editing. It is Equation Magick (EqMagic 2) (http://www.micropress-inc.com ...

Re: Latex replacement for Equation Editor in MS Word

Thanx,

I am using AbiWord and it is OK. The LaTex support is one of the feature I like most but it is included in the recent versions of AbiWord. It is intended for shorter LaTex input and I think we would have to wait for few more releases in order to have better LaTex and MathML support ...
