This may be the wrong place to post this question, but I am working on professional articles in LaTeX constantly. Does anyone know of a distribution of LaTeX for Android tablets? This would help me very much in my day-to-day efforts.

Have you tried changing Repository? That fixed a problem I was having installing xcolor.
