Re: Trouble generating PDF

I managed to resolve this problem myself, or so I think. By a process of trial and error, I determined that certain figures were being placed outside of the page boundaries and causing the pdf generator to choke. Perhaps this experience may help others avoid the same problem.

Trouble generating PDF

I am compiling (typesetting) a fairly long latex document (5000 lines) using the 'LaTeX' and 'TeX and DVI' options under the typeset menu. The typesetting process seems to complete successfully (no latex errors) but then fails to generate the associated pdf file. Here is the error message at the ...

Porting fonts from PC to Mac

Until recently, I was LaTeXing with MikTeX on a PC. I am now working with MacTeX (TeXLive) on a Mac. Last year, for one project, I was sent additional font files (.tfm, .pdb, and .vf) necessary for the work on MikTeX.

\DeclareRobustCommand\bxseries

Re: including .eps figure

Try using MiKTex 2.8 and including the extension .eps with your file name. MiKTeX 2.8 partially enables \write18, which may solve your problem.

Error opening type 1 font file

I am editing an old (2005) LaTeX file that I did not author. The file compiles with no errors but the output file cannot be rendered. It does not matter whether I am running latex or pdflatex. I am trying to understand the following error message. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
