Dear all,
as much as I like the new TeXnicCenter 2.0, does anyone know how to avoid line breaks when typing commands? Regular text will break on at blank spaces, but for example, \citet{emmenegger2011} will break after \citet if the line ends there. TeXnicCenter 1.0 doesn't break lines within ...

Text in Draft Figure Boxes
Hi,
does anyone know how to change the standard text used in the graphics placeholder box when the draft option for the includegraphics command is set to true, i.e.:
\includegraphics[draft=true]{stuff.pdf}
will show a framed box with vertically centred monospace text "stuff.pdf".
Thanks

Re: Unequally sized delimiters
Thanks to both of you. The solution with the \vphantom command is indeed very elegant.

Unequally sized delimiters
Hi together,
does anyone have an idea why the following code produces delimiters for the two cases that are not of equal size?
$$ $$
\mu_{\text{log}_{i}} = \begin{cases}
\left(1 + \text{e}^{-\left[(x_{i} - \tau_{c})\left(\frac{-\text{log}(19)}{\tau_{e} - \tau_{c}}\right)\right]}\right)^{-1 ...

Re: Long Tables with ctable
Thanks gmedina. I've finally switched to the threeparttable and longtable environments which seems to work better.

y-axis cut and compression
Dear Community,
I've now been struggling with this problem for hours on end...I'd like to create a figure with PSTricks, but using a special y-axis. As this would take too long to explain, a figure showing how I'd like it to be at the end is attached. If anyone could help me that'd be great.

Long Tables with ctable
Hi together,
I use the ctable package but have a very long table. However, ctable does not provide an option for long tables that break over more than a page and the longtable environment does not seem to work with the package either. Does anyone know how to break a table over two pages without ...

Re: Proportions messed up in animation
Hi jonysatie,
in the end I had the same problem again. My solution now is to simply use LaTeX => PS and open the file with Acrobat Distiller. That works strangely enough. Using LaTeX => PS => PDF won't.

Re: Proportions messed up in animation
Hallo Herbert,
thanks again, it works now although all I did after all was to re-install ghostscript...maybe it has automatically re-set the paper size definitions.
Best wishes,
Alrik
