Re: biblatex with BibTeX and XeLaTeX: Unicode compatible?

Thanks for the info! I see much clearer now.

I have a follow-up question though:

So if I use XeLaTeX with Biblatex, I can have UTF-8 encoded stuff in my bib-file and it will show up correctly in the reference in my document, but the sorting might be buggy if I sort with BibTeX, right? So sorting ...

Hi community,

Can I use Unicode characters in the bib file if I'm using biblatex with BibTeX as a backend and compiling with XeLaTex?

And more generally, which combination of what handles Unicode and which doesn't ...

Re: Different graphics formats -- which to choose?

Hi Stefan,

thanks for your reply.

Sorry, I wasn't being clear enough. I was only talking about scaleable formats, and whether I should be using EPS or not. (PDF seems to be the way to go.)

Different graphics formats -- which to choose?

Hi guys,

thanks for the input!

From this https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/LaTeX/Imp ... ge_formats I understand that for pdftex the best option is to use the pdf format, if possible, right?

Different graphics formats -- which to choose?

Hi community,

can someone give me some guidance or point me in a direction where I can read about the differences between the graphics formats that can be included in a TeX file? Like, is one better than the others (in certain contexts)? If I produce a graphic that I wish to include in a TeX file ...

I was hoping there is someone here who could recommend an editor to me.

I have tried and rejected WinShell (the TeX-editor I ...

Hi, it's me!

Hello everyone,

I thought, I'd introduce myself before I start asking away: my name is Kelp and I hope to find some help here :)
I've already got some experience with LaTex: I've set two papers and a number of smaller projects. Then I tried my hand XeTeX ... not much luck yet!
Well, I hope there's ...
