Hey all,
I have an \appendix which is part of my \mainmatter. I have set the normal tocdepth at 2; however, I don't want the countless sections and subsection of the appendix mentioned in the ToC, so there I need tocdepth 0.
How to do this? I tried resetting the tocdepth-counter just before the ...

cross-referencing problem in a multi-file document
Dear all,
Please help! My manuscript is due, but it is suffering from a number of nastily persistent cross-referencing problems.
I have made a set-up with separate files for each chapter and a master file with the preamble etc. I should probably add that I use the compilation route with pdftex and ...

tried that, phi. Doesn't work. I really don't understand what's going on, since it works fine on my desktop in the office.

problem with pdf inclusion: pdflatex does not support v1.6?
I just bought a new laptop, and pdflatex gives problems I have never experienced before.
It refuses to incorporate a pdf illustration that is v1.6, complaining that it cannot handle anything above pdf-version 1.4. The result is that the part of the pdf illustration that originally an .eps-graphic ...

Re: 9.5 font size?
Getting there... but not quite yet. I left the font size option for \documentclass unspecified; instead, I now added
\fontsize{9.5pt}{11.4pt}
immediately after \begin{document}.
This does the trick as far as the body text is concerned; it doesn't scale the other elements on the page along ...

Re: 9.5 font size?
I thought I'd bump this one back up.
The question: how to set the font size of my main body text to 9.5points, or any other size for that matter? I can't seem to fully exploit the alleged infinite scaling possibilities of type-1 fonts.

Glyph `blablabla' undefined - what's the problem?
As far as I understand Latex font handling, the errors suggest that the font is not properly mapped, which means that pdftex cannot interpret them. Does it come out all right if you compile to DVI instead of PDF?
I'd try updating all formats; if that doesn't work, try uninstalling and re-installing ...

Re: download location yap binaries?
Found it, and it worked. But all things considered, I think I'm moving back to MikTex; I don't like TexLive at all. It's about 10 times slower, doesn't install packages on the fly (is that normal, btw?), and many features don't work as well as they did under MikTex.

Re: download location yap binaries?
For some reason, that didn't work. I downloaded the additional stuff from the 7zip website, but nada.
Or, could you maybe pretty please un-lzma these files for me, and put them somewhere where I can download them? Would be great.
