Yes, precisely that, it doesn't even have to come from the drop down, I would just like to be able to have that set when I start my work. I use it for all my work at uni as it works so much better than microsoft word and looks so much nicer. I don't do anything particularly wild with it, just ...

Hi there,
Is there a way to save a template so that I can re use it? At present I have a template that I use, and each new doc that I make, I have to go to the last one I made and delete all the content. I would much rather just have it as a template that I can re use without all of that.

No, I still can't get it. Here is the code, I can't really post you the pdf, all I can ask is that do you know what I mean when I say the numbering starts at:
0.1
but I want it to start at
1.1
I never heard of a zeroth chapter or section I do not want the 0.

Hi Guys and Gals,
My names Rob, I am studying Mechatronics Engineering at LSBU.
One of my tutors pointed out LaTeX to us as he, like me hates microsoft word and I have to admit, I really like it, maybe it appeals to my geeky nature, I don't know. Looks nicer anyway.
