I'm not restricted to helvetica, I love the font, that's all. Using arev as an alternative is okay by me, but a simple \usepackage{arev} still gives me an italic \beta, even with \mathsf.

This is funny because some time ago i wrestled to make a \beta italic using \usepackage[upright]{fourier} font ...

Beamerposter with Helvetica math

Hey there!

I'm making my first beamerposter and I'm having some trouble. A sample document and the used theme (Icy) are attached.

I'm butchering both from the http://www-i6.informatik.rwth-aachen.de/~dreuw/latexbeamerposter.php website.

localghost answered my questions :D the text looks better now and it made my life easier too thanks :D

there's still the problem of the small ( ) in a \frac{}{} is there a "cure" for that?
