Hi, as posted by Kris, you can't generate latex => pdf using eps figures.
There are many solutions, but one is to convert you eps figure to pdf using a program called epstopdf

You will need Ghostscript to be installed.

Maybe that is not the answer for your question, but why not try the prosper package?

There is also another package for presentations called Beamer:

Regarding your second question,
I think you need first to install ghostscript in your machine.
There is an wizard in Texniccenter:
go to Build menu
Click in Define Output Profiles
On the bottom left corner, there is a button Wizard .
I think the wizard should find the variables automatically.

Does anyone know how to lock the toolbars in texniccenter? Sometimes when I open the software the toolbars are disarranged.
