Do they use an administrator-account?
Maybe it helps to disable UAC?
Ask them to post here, it might be easier to help them then.

Re: TeXnicCenter, Vista, and path to executables
I use a German Vista Ultimate 32 bit with SP1 (UAC disabled). Miktex 2.7 and TeXnicCenter (1 and 2) work fine here. Installation was the same as on Windows XP, if I rember correctly.
The path you are looking for is (as in Windows XP):
C:\Program Files\MiKTeX 2.7\miktex\bin

Texniccenter with Adobe Reader 9.0
I just tested this with TeXnicCenter 2.0. Works fine. Thank you!Ritmo wrote:Insert this into "close before compilation":

Seems to make no sense, but it works.
Best Regards,

Re: Texniccenter with Adobe Reader 9.0
Same here.
As a workaround, you can open a second PDF or add the [AppExit()]-DDE-Command, which closes all open PDFs.

Re: How to deal with people using multiple TeX packages
Import the registry-settings in your logon-script, dependant on which PC you are using.
