TeXworks anyone? (Or something else)?
I have created a dedicated subforum for TeXworks.frabjous wrote:BTW, Would it be appropriate to have a TeXworks subforum here? I mean, if "WinShell" and "Scientific Author" get their own forums, surely TeXworks should make the cut....?

Re: Possibility to delete an account

you are right, unfortunately the forum software we use does not support this.
If a user wants his account to be deleted, please contact me via PM and I will manually delete it.

Sven

Re: Merging the forums
I think what Keta said is a quite good information, if you feel that the structure is to detailed: In the Board index do not click onto the subforum links, but onto the main forum link (e.g. "LaTeX" or "LaTeX Editors") and you will see all messages of this forum and its subforum.

New free LaTeX software, please add to forum
I agree with localghost: If the number of posts for this software in the "LaTeX Editors > Others" forums increases, we will create an own forum for it.dstelio wrote:Please add Equation Author to the free software forum category

Unfortunately google does not provide a way to filter the news, so we have to live with what they provide. Google parses the current pages content and selects suitable ads. So the more specific and detailed the page, the better it works. Unfortunately our main keyword "LaTeX" leaves a lot of room ...

The News page already has a RSS Feed. A modern browser will show you this when you explicitly open the News page (the "News" link from the menu). For example in the Firefox' address bar a RSS icon will appear.
I will provide an explicit RSS link in the next days. Until then, if the browser solution ...
