Re: General Connection Problems
I believe this thread is solved then. My problem was merely with a temporary workstation, on my own computer everything works fine. And hopefully jonlighthall has the solution for others with the same problem.

Rotated floating Figure Error
As I said in one of my posts it's not working as it should:
I'm having trouble with MikTex package manager not being able to connect, so I have to install the .sty packages myself.
I created a topic in the MikTex subforum to try to sort out the issue:

Re: Rotated floating Figure Error
Thanks a lot, that solved it!
It seems the problem was with my 'rotating.sty' file. It was one of the missing .sty files that I installed manually. The one you provided was different than mine, and when replaced rotating floats worked like a charm. I even tried it in Lyx with .jpeg and .bmp with ...

General Connection Problems
Hi,
I'm having problems connecting to anything with MikTex. I'm a Lyx 2.0 user and have MikTex 2.9 installed. When trying to update, install packages, synchonize, change repository or anything I get the same error message. An example from trying to synchronize the package database:

I exported the document to "LaTex (plain)" and ran the pdflatex in the .tex file now. The code is:

%% Do not edit unless you really know what you are doing.
\documentclass[english]{article}
\usepackage[T1]{fontenc}

Re: Rotated floating Figure Error
Thanks for the quick reply! I've attached the .eps file.
I tried converting the file to pdf, but I got the same error. Did you use the attached rotfloat.sty file? I think that's what causing my problem. I'm having trouble with MikTex package manager not being able to connect, so I have to install ...

Rotated floating Figure Error
Hi,
I'm using Lyx 2.0, and tried to rotate a floating figure by checking the "rotate 90 deg" box in the float settings. But when I wanted to view the output I got the following error:
LaTeX Error: File `rotfloat.sty' not found.
