Re: Code folding
Yes, I miss it too. That's why I now use LED (LaTeX EDitor). It does projects, has code folding and more customizable syntax highlighting. But there are some things about TeXnicCenter I like better, like how it handles templates, build options, etc. TeXnicCenter with customizable syntax highlighting ...

Shortcuts and macros
There is a way to define Shortcuts that are already preset, but it doesn't appear there is anyway to define your own shortcuts. E.g. I want a shortcut for \emphasis. The closest thing is the preset for \textit (which is by default undefined). But they are different. In an environment (e.g. theorem ...

Same issue as with TeXmaker - no full path given to acrobat. See this thread for more details and a workaround.
Cheers,
Tomek
Well, I've set the full path (to Acrobat) and it still doesn't work. But the thread you pointed to suggests doing something different. Unfortunately (actually ...

Re: Highly Configurable LaTeX Editors---A Review
This is why I like LEd better than the rest.
1. The navigator panel works whether or not the file is part of a project and whether or not the is the main file of the project. This is one disadvantage of TeXnicCenter. Winshell is even worse since you need to build a table of contents to even use the ...

PDFView
For some reason my PDFview broke. Whenever I try to open a file after compilation it says in adobe acrobat (pro) that it can't find the file. TeXnicCenter's works fine. I haven't changed any settings. I have the Program Call set to %s.pdf and PDFLaTex first unchecked (though checking it does nothing ...

Is there a way of opening files via templates in Winshell? Or is one just supposed to open the template file itself and annoyingly rename it via a "save as" command each time they make a new document?
I can't see were WinShell offers to open templates that are delivered with this program. You may ...

Projects and Navigator
I was wondering if it is possible to use the navigator for files that are *not* the main project files for a given project. I have a project that involves working on numerous files but the navigator appears to be associated only for one file, the main one. And under the "Files" tab it just shows the ...

Re: Highly configurable LaTeX editors
Like another user, I've used TeXnicCenter, LEd, WinShell, and a couple others, and I find WinShell the best. First, it's "Project environment" is more intuitive than TeXnicCenter's, which is actually quite mysterious on first use. The interface is cleaner (everything is high-res) and almost just as ...
