I have no problem with changing the encoding in TXC. I just choose »Save as« from the »File« menu and change the encoding in the dialog window.

I think that when you create new document, TXC2 Alpha automatically sets it to ANSI encoding, and you can't change it to UTF8 inside TXC. This is what I do:

1) Make new document in TXC
2) Open that document in some other text editor, which has good support for encodings. Personally I use Geany ...

The encoding of the .dic file must match the one indicated in the corresponding .aff file, e.g. SET CP1250 or SET UTF-8. Most European dictionaries use ISO 8859 though.

I've just tried the new version of TXC and was really happy to see that Scintilla text editor is used, since I prefer to have my documents in UTF-8 encoding. This list contains system-wide fonts, i.e. fonts which are installed on the system. Hence, if you want to use some other font you have to install it in a usual way:

1) START -> Control Panel -> Fonts
2) File -> Install new font

However, you have to be aware that the current version of TXC is ...

Go to:

1) Tools -> Options -> Text Format
2) In the drop-down box select Editor (it is selected by default)
3) Choose an appropriate font from the list

You can do the same for the Navigator and Output (warnings, errors, etc.)

Yes, I agree with this. These files should maybe rather somewhere to "Documents and Settings" folder. However, for now I always make a backup of these files on installation directory, and when I install new version I simply copy those files from backup. It works ok.
